Some of the Best Date Ideas for Valentine’s Day

In a couple of weeks, we will be celebrating Valentine’s Day. Worldwide starry-eyed lovers are planning the perfect day for their partner. Sometimes, however, there might be a few loving, caring, and great people out there who can’t think of something romantic to do or create the “ultimate” Valentine’s Day experience for their loved one.

That’s where we come in; if you are looking for some great date ideas that will put a smile on your partner’s face and maybe melt their heart, you should keep reading. We came up with a list of some great ideas ranging from tried and true classics to fun and slightly unconventional

Recreate your first date: This is rated high on the “romantic gestures scale,” this is an almost guarantee to impress your significant other. It might take a good memory and a bit of work to make it happened, but it is well worth it. Walk the same streets where you first kissed and enjoy a cup of coffee at the old coffee shop where you first had drinks together.A romantic weekend getaway: This is for those looking for a change of scenery and an escape from the busy city. There is nothing better than a quiet, romantic weekend at a local B&B. You can have fun making a snowman or starting a snowball fight. There is always plenty of privacy and great room service waiting for you back in the room.

Cook for your loved one: Do some research on good recipes for a romantic dinner for two. You can even look into one of those meal-kit sites. Cooking for someone can be a big turn on and you can create an incredible meal without spending a lot of money. Take it up a notch by dressing up, decorating your dining room and presenting your partner with a printed menu.

Rent an expensive sports car for a day: It’s ok to live large from time to time. All of us can’t afford the glamorous lifestyle of the stars, but you can definitely play pretend for a day. Put on some classy clothes and drive around town in a rented sports car. The quick acceleration and high speed are sure to provide an exhilarating experience.

Chick flick marathon: Yes, this is one of the very basic ways to spend a day with your partner, but who doesn’t love to be cuddled up on the couch watching TV with some take-out and a glass of wine?

Wine and chocolate at sunset: Pick a romantic location, like a hill overlooking the city or on your balcony. Open a bottle of your favorite wine and a box of chocolate and then wait for the perfect moment when the sky turns a fiery red to embrace and share a kiss.

Ice Skating: There’s something fun about ice skating that brings people closer and keeps you laughing (it could be all the falling and clinging to each other for dear life). This will be fun for sure and then you can move on to a more private location for some alone time or even warm up with a cup of coffee or hot chocolate.

A trip down memory lane: This is a good one for long-term couples who are going to benefit from reminiscing about all their fondest memories together for the start of the relationship through to the present.

Sing karaoke: If you are celebrating your first or twentieth Valentine’s Day together – this is always a fun thing to do. It’s informal and inexpensive, yet incredibly fun and allows for a deeper bonding experience. Once you have a few drinks in your system and you realize you will make a complete fool of yourself, you should have the time of your life.

Go on a winery or brewery tour: Taking a tour is a great way to learn new things about wine, beer or whiskey and how it’s made. Not only will you taste some excellent beverages, but you can always buy a few bottles for later in the evening.

See live music: Who doesn’t love live music? This is a great option for just about any couple – find a club with a live performance (jazz, rock, poetry reading) and dress up for the occasion. Make sure you have a reservation in advance to avoid the Valentine’s Day rush and focus on making your date fee comfortable.

Go paint-balling: This date idea is an excellent way to get your body moving, focus on hand-eye-coordination and coming up with a tactical solution in the heat of the moment. It’s a great bonding experience and adrenaline-fueled fun.

We aren’t saying these are the only date ideas to have but it gives you a few to choose from. Just make sure you plan ahead, have fun and celebrate your love proudly.
